    Advanced Illumination

The NEW light source reproduces clean illumination in Halogen bulb color and eliminates the filament shadow. The LED light source provides steady illumination for 50,000 hours, and it allows free exchange of the light bulb. The combination of the LED and the powerful rechargeable battery allows for 5 times longer operation and up to 10 hours of continuous lighting.

This high degree of visual clarity is due, in part, to the superb illumination of the NTZ-BIO-IO-a LED binocular indirect ophthalmoscope. The illumination diameter is adjustable and can be set to 19 mm, 50 mm, or 80 mm, depending on the application. The 3W LED has a color temperature of 3200K, matching that of the halogen bulbs in the average indirect ophthalmoscope.

    Consistent Color Temperature

The color temperature of the LED in the Neitz binocular indirect ophthalmoscope is 3200 K, which is the same color temperature as the halogen bulb used in a typical binocular indirect ophthalmoscope. The colors observed in ophthalmoscopy are the red of blood vessels, the orange of the retina, and the yellow of the optic disc.

    Precision in Fundus Observation

Differently from the common white color LEDs used in the binocular indirect ophthalmoscopes of other manufacturers, our halogen bulb color LED reproduces these colors with high color rendering properties as shown in the chart on the left. It supports operators in obtaining the maximized information from fundus observation for more precise diagnosis. This technology enables observation of the fundus under illumination conditions compatible with the familiar halogen bulb illumination.

Enhanced Visual Clarity with Advanced Filters and Extended LED Capacity

For specific applications, UV, blue, and red-free filters are included. The low power draw of the LED and the high-capacity rechargeable battery pack allow it to run 5 times longer than competitors, providing 10 hours of continuous lighting and 5 hours at maximum brightness. This, alongside the device's flawless optics, ensures clear stereoscopy even through a narrow pupil diameter of 2 mm.

Lifetime Quality and Versatile Power Solutions

Because of the quality of the NTZ-BIO-IO-a LED binocular indirect ophthalmoscope, it often accompanies its owner for a lifetime, from school and training through to a practice or hospital environment. With the most complete and flexible power source offering, your binocular will adapt to any environment. If your needs or requirements change, the power sources are modular and completely interchangeable. The battery comes with a clip that allows it to be mounted on a belt or headset.

    Fundus Image

Fundus images can be observed stereoscopically even through a small pupil of 2 mm diameter. The observation angle can be continuously changed, and the smooth single-hand adjustment of mirrors allows for easy observation from any desired angle. The halogen light provides suitable illumination for general observation.

    Optical system

The unique optical system in the NTZ-BIO-IO-a LED binocular indirect ophthalmoscope allows for changing the approach angle to the pupil to either vertical or horizontal positions, enabling users to observe the periphery of the fundus from any angle. Additionally, the illumination light mirror and observation mirrors can all be easily adjusted with a single hand. This flexible system accommodates most users with an adjustable pupillary distance from 54 mm to 74 mm.

Freedom in choice of the approach angle to the pupil.

The system allows for adjusting the position of the mirrors to vertical or horizontal positions corresponding to the patient's pupil. This capability enables the operator to observe the periphery of the patient's fundus from any angle.

    Enhance Your Ophthalmological Clinic

The NTZ-BIO-IO-a LED binocular indirect ophthalmoscope offers an optional teaching mirror (sold separately) that allows observers and students to view from the user's perspective, making it ideal for in-person education. It also includes a carrying case and a comfortable head strap for convenience. Backed by Neitz's renowned quality assurance in ophthalmic products, these features ensure it meets the diverse needs of any ophthalmological clinic.
